Mitten Matching Games

Play to Learn Preschool
We've been using this set of Mitten Matching games in so many different ways this month!  There are 8 sets of cards, so I am able to pick the skills that each group of students needs.
One day, after the Insta-Snow excitement and mania wore off, we buried a set of initial sound cards (laminated so they are waterproof) in the snow table.
The students put on mittens (of course!) and dug through the snow to try to find a matching set.  (The mitten cards matched, but clearly matching the actual mittens on their hands was not a priority!)
We also played a memory game with rhyming pictures.  Hug and train... nope!  Try again.
A few of our kiddos are working on identifying the basic shapes, so this memory game was perfect for them.

We also used the cards to play "Go Fish" and "Old Maid" but taking a picture while playing cards with a 4-year-old is nearly impossible!

If you'd like to make these cards for your kids, they come in a set of 8.  You can find them here in my TpT store.

Have fun playing and learning with your children today!
