Watermelon Art

Here's an easy way to strengthen our children's fine motor skills while creating a cute summer art project at the same time!
We started by tearing paper into small pieces.

Look at that fine motor practice!

For this project, we ripped three different colors - pink, green and black.

After all the paper was ready, each child got half of a paper plate and started gluing the pieces on to look like a watermelon.

Seeds are the finishing touch!  Of course we had (real) watermelon for snack after centers.

Have fun playing and learning with your children today.
