Class Yearbooks

We take a ton of pictures in our preschool classes. It is so helpful for the parents to be able to see exactly what their children are working on. Many families tell us that they go through the pictures together and it sparks a lot of rich discussion about school. How great is that?!

Although we share many pictures here on the blog, most of them go to our Share Site. If you don't have a great method for sharing pictures with your friends and family, I highly recommend it. Our site is password protected, and I am able to invite and manage the members who can view the pictures. It also allows the parents to download pictures of their children and order prints.

Our favorite part about using Shutterfly, though, is the ability to easily put together a photo book out of all the pictures we have taken during the year. We make this preschool yearbook each spring so that our students have a sweet memory of our year together.

Shutterfly has a wonderful "Yearbook" department that can walk you through the process. It also offers an incredible discount when you order 10 or more books.

The process for making a photo book on Shutterfly is so simple. They have great page layouts and easy to follow sample pages. We made our own 8x11 cover on PicMonkey and uploaded it as a full-size cover image, but you could also choose one of their templates.
Do you make a yearbook for your students? I'd love to hear about it, or better yet you can upload a picture to our Facebook page or tag us on IG (@playtolearnps)!

Have a great day playing and learning with your children.

  1. I started making yearbooks the 1st year I taught and it was the smartest thing that I have done! Not only the kids love them, but now they get to share what they have done over the course of a year with their families. It has been so rewarding for me to have a stack of yearbooks that I can reminisce through and be reminded of how much these kids have meant to me. I have always used Shutterfly and they make it SO easy. I even personalize each book with a graduation picture and note to each child. That is how simple it is to change the picture and order 10 yearbooks specific to each student. It was so nice to see that another preschool teacher does the same for their students. It will be a memorable keepsake they will cherish. Much love, Miss Cathy
