I am Thankful

Elyse from A is for Apples is hosting a wonderful Thanksgiving post... 4 Things I'm Thankful for!  I truly have so many blessings to be thankful for that I think my list could easily include 100 things.  Here are 4 of them.
My family rocks.  Seriously.  Parenting is a tough, tough job, but I am so thankful that I get to do it with this crew.  Each of my kiddos has such a different and fun personality, and they each keep me on my toes.  My hubs is a rock star.  We started dating 21 years ago, and he has been my best friend every day of it.  Sometimes people ask how I do everything, and I just have to laugh.  I don't do everything.  Joe does all of the dishes, every day.  He folds laundry and makes lunches.  He takes the kids to their activities and attends their school field trips when I have to teach.  He takes care of all the nitty-gritty day-to-day stuff so that I can dream my big dreams.
I also have some seriously awesome friends-- a beautiful group of ladies from college, a brilliant group of teacher friends from my days in the public school, a funny and fun group of preschool parent friends, and some fabulous neighbors.  Gemma is one of my exceptional friends.  We have worked together every day for 10 years, and she has helped to make Play to Learn the incredible place that it is.  She can read my mind and we share a love of chocolate.  There is no one I'd rather ride this wild preschool ride with me.
"Work" doesn't seem like the right heading for this one, but here it is.  I love being a preschool teacher.  It's a passion that has been in my heart since I was a little girl, and I often pinch myself that I get to live it every day.
Here's the best thing about my "Work."  It's also my home.  And since I am a bit of a homebody, it's really the perfect fit.  I teach in the morning and spend the afternoons at home with my kiddos.  Here is my youngest "blogging" and "answering the phone" with me while we relax after school.  Being home with my kids for the last 10 years is perhaps the biggest blessing of all.

I hope that you have a very happy Thanksgiving with your family!
